Winter Ops in Aviation 3

This will be the last of the posts on this at least for this season as we approach the end of it and the temperatures start to warm up again. We have not been as busy as expected when the UK meteorological office forecast snow initially in November. However it has been a good learning curve and an enjoyable experience with initially a couple of new qualifications to my name. The mild start to winter was caused by the effect of the El Nino phenomenon in the southern oceans coupled with the northerly position of the Jetstream. However as we have seen the more northerly regions of the UK have been hit whereas the southern side much less so.Hope you all have enjoyed reading the posts, I will now sign off as I have been recalled to my operating crew role, as to the next season lets wait and see.
