WINTER IS LONG, BUT WE’RE RECLAIMING OUR JOY

Brené Brown vulnerability moment incoming: lately, I've been overwhelmed by my work and by life in general. It's been a lot, which is something I know a lot of people can relate to. But I woke up this morning and told myself - okay enough of that; today I'm going to reclaim my joy. ??
Here's my perspective:
? Life is too short to feel powerless and joyless, whether at work, or elsewhere.
? The feelings that result don't just impact us - they affect those closest to us, and even those with whom we work.
? There are many things in life that are out of our control, but our relationship with work is lifelong, so it may be more important than we think for it to be a good one. ?
Hustle culture isn't all bad, but never forgetting you're a human being is entirely good. ??
You guys. For those of us who live in places with 4 seasons, winter always drags on for longer than we think it will. Yes, the snow’s so nice, and then in New York City, it turns to gray slush in an hour, and it’s time for Spring to roll around. As you likely know, I’m a Texas boy, and I love feeling productive and energized in the blazing hot sun. So what did I do to fix this, you might ask? What didn’t I do, is maybe a better question. I:
Now that I think about it, I made a lot of substantial changes to my routine to better my mentality, and guess what? It worked. My energy’s largely restored. I feel more focused and excited about my way forward as a coach and speaker, as well as that of Henry Street Creative’s path as a growing business. It’s a nice reminder that taking action on something in your life that feels off may be a daunting prospect, but it’s ultimately worthwhile. So in case there’s something that’s been nagging at you, this is your sign to get your butt in gear and take action.

Who is that stunning supermodel, you might be wondering? That's Ashley DiPrisco, Associate Broker at Jackson Hole Sotheby's International Realty, and recent addition to my coaching roster.?She, along with her father and business partner, Tom Evans (pictured), are absolutely ruling real estate in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She’s the host of ADTV’s segment on Jackson Hole - see here for one of the fantastic episodes in which she features gorgeous listings and staples of the town. If you’re ever vacationing in the area, be sure to check out one of her many inspired local restaurant recommendations or drop in with her to see her latest luxury listing. I, for one, will be purchasing my next home there at my earliest convenience.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: SCALING YOUR BUSINESS
In case you missed the news, I was so excited to bring SERHANT. alum Zach Walker on board last month as my VP of Business Development and right hand man. Up until now, I had taken all of my business calls myself, so it was scary for me to bring someone else into that fold. I’m at a point in my business where it’s a necessary addition, as there’s not enough time in the day to have all of the calls I want to have. I care about my clients and their well-being, so choosing someone who would have the same kind of care and excitement for their businesses the way that I do was an important decision. It’s been so rewarding to get fantastic feedback from so many of you on meeting with Zach, and it makes me that much more excited to continue to scale Henry Street Creative in a thoughtful and robust way. For those of you who are experiencing a similar growth, I’m thrilled for you and your business! But I know it’s a lot to consider logistically, as it’s important to scale in accordance with your growing customer base. If you ever need advice on that topic or anything else, the link to meet with Zach is below. He’s a burly man from Alabama with a big heart, and I know you’ll adore him as much as I do.
Here's to building your empire,
