Winter leaves show us a different solstice. Bye, 2023.

Expectations. Requirements. Meeting after meeting. Vision, mission, values. Step by step, I’ve seen those IT teams coordinating efforts among geographies and functions to grow a robust code that help hoteliers to bring several pieces together, to offer an amazing life trip to their guests.

Is this your secret, dear Hospitality Sector? That your teams are able to bring together something that was almost impossible to mix before, allowing your guests to fly back home full of energy and brand new ideas? A brilliant flash that suddenly lights everything, transforming a patient blooming tradition?

According to traditions, we deliver our best and share it with our closest. As every winter, we were so lucky of celebrating the year end with our colleagues, together. This time with ES Teams from India and Mexico: we were walking in our streets, smelling our flavours, visiting our monuments, and laughing at our tasteful food. They were bringing a little piece of their world together with them.

That makes me think… Why bees were rushing these days, beautiful Mahonia? Does your awasome yellow bloom at the right time? I’ve seen a number of leaves falling with a different smell, supporting a wide range of colours… Because their function was overcome? Because they had to double the effort without following a seasonality process? Without any reason for this except for… resilio, resilias, resiliare, resiliavi, resiliatum? I’m wondering if my lessons & memory (or my beloved ancients’) could cope with this new scenario. Something important seems to be missing: a step into the past could be required to move faster into the future; a couple of trials into diverse technologies working together could be necessary to be at the safe side. Or more.
