Winter is coming....
While walking out of a hotel this past week, I noticed the familiar sight of a failed sidewalk and curb. Although fall is in the air, winter is coming. Winter brings us sub-freezing temperatures, snow and ice precipitation and the ever present salt or snow/ice melting chemicals. These will only exacerbate the condition of the sidewalk and curb above.
At Helix Steel, we believe there is a better way to build. Our 3 Dimensional Concrete reinforcement technology provides pre-crack protection across the entire structure. See our Helix introduction video below:

The cost of fixing such a section of sidewalk and curb could cost at least 4 hours of labor, plus material and the loss of sidewalk use for at least one day.
By simply adding ~$27 of Helix per cubic yard to this application during initial construction, the sidewalk would have had unparalleled 3 Dimensional pre-crack protection.
Let's continue to shift the discussion from building things like we always do, to building things to stand the test of time.

9 年Every day I see failed concrete where typical rebar or wire mesh was utilized creating trip hazard liabilities and is simply unattractive, ultimately leading to a costly, labor intensive, repair. Get those hazard cones out!!
