I recently had the incredible honor of celebrating our Western Region team's achievement of being ranked as the number 1 region for GM Envolve in 2023. This reflects every member's outstanding work and determination, and it is a significant achievement that requires a team of purpose-led individuals who are determined to make a difference.

As a first-year Regional Director and a 10-year GM employee, this moment was significant, but it wasn't about me – it was about the TEAM. I want to share some reflections about the team's accomplishments and why I am so proud and privileged to work alongside them.

Embracing Change?and Transformation

As a new team leader, it's never easy to establish a bold vision and trust that employees will decide to follow you, especially amid technology dramatically reshaping the automotive industry and while our organization is revolutionizing our approach to the fleet and commercial business.

Setting the tone, articulating the vision, encouraging feedback, fostering collaboration, and acknowledging your team's expertise is crucial. These practical steps were implemented when I assumed leadership of this exceptional group of people.

I noticed that both new and experienced members came together with focus and excitement to support each other. They embraced the transformation with passion and purpose and believed in the mission we set out to accomplish. They applied innovation, worked hard to support our customers, and raised the bar for the business.

Challenges created opportunities for growth! ?

Despite facing numerous industry challenges and unexpected turns, I was inspired by the team's resilience, focus, and positive attitude in overcoming every obstacle. The team demonstrated a remarkable ability to turn challenges into opportunities for learning and growth. Their passion and enthusiasm helped them rise above every challenge.

Team members acquired new skills and embraced the transition to a one-stop customer experience that provides easier access to GM's products and services.
