Winning means doing better than last time

Winning means doing better than last time

Winning and losing are the two sides of the same coin. You can’t have one without the other. To make someone win, someone has to lose. Winning does not define success and losing does not mean failure. When you start a thing or play a game, you learn a lot of things. There is plenty to explore, so much new to learn, and a lot to grasp. During this journey you go through tough times, hurdles, obstacles, etc. Along with that, you also gain courage to endure the tough times, learn tricks to cross hurdles, and find solutions to obstacles. And this is what you must take from every journey.

Essentially losing does not make me want to quit. It makes me want to fight that much harder. The same applies to each one of us, no matter whether it is a game or any real situation. When you lose it does not mean failure, it means you need to work harder than before. Irrespective of the outcome – victory or failure – it is essential to value the journey. Success is not just winning but on the other hand it is actually giving your 100% to whatever you are doing.

If winning is your attitude, and if you consider yourself distinct and different from them, and therefore further create an ego idea that says you have some right to win when others lose, then sure. You can win/win, where you make sure everyone around you wins, but to win and others lose would only demonstrate the depth of your ignorance of yourself and of the so-called ‘other’. “Othering” is the fundamental outward appearance of human evil. We use ego and ignorance to create ‘others’ and then create all other forms of violence, based on that most stupid with willful ignorance of ideas.

Winning and losing are nothing but pure violence if you watch those furious football matches when spectators burn the stadium or hit each other with bottles or whatever you have in hand. One can argue that this is fundamental to duality, but duality is just an error in thinking. Violence is karma wearing a mask. Nothing ever really dies, nor is ever born; water does not wet your essentials Self, nor does win dry it. So, the idea of winning, and those who feel compelled to ‘win’ is generally a demonstration of their grasp of the nature of themselves, more than anything.

The people I hang around have achieved literally all that society says we are to aspire to- degrees, Olympic medals, riches, beautiful companions- but we all agree it carries little meaning, in the end. No external thing gives you satisfaction. It is your attitude toward the ‘game’ of duality that marks your life. Winning is meaningless, in the final analysis.

Talking about me in general as a person, When I am able to see things going as per the plan I feel like a winner. I am highly vulnerable to mismanagement of routine. So if I don't do what I have actually spent time on thinking I feel like a loser. When I get a chance to help others at that moment I am a winner. From scientific facts it is evident that helping others make you happy. And most of all I don't do it merely because of taking them for granted. Best help is given to strangers who won't even probably meet you again. So there is no way they can revert it back.

When I am able to ask others for help. Coming forward to take help doesn't belittle you. Instead you let others know their value in your life. When I am able to overcome my fears and adjust in uncomfortable zone. This is the process of change. It might get hard to convince brain as it always resists change. When my hard work pays off in the end after continuous setbacks and comebacks I consider myself a winner. Cheers!

It is strangely very true Hossein bhai, Cheers ??

Sometimes , my friend , Mr. Kishore Shintre , I come across uncannily bizarre phenomena in scientific research . A team of researchers commence on a search in 1990 and go at breakneck speed? . Another man starts the same search in 2020 and goes very slowly . Then , when the team is midway to nowhere in February 2021 , that man very slowly arrives at a conclusion sooner than them in March 21 , when the flowers bloom . Science is full of such stories .
