Winning is important. But improving, is even more important.

Winning is important. But improving, is even more important.

Had an opportunity to attend a Session from Ferose V R and guess what? I got his latest book, personally signed from him. "Grit - The Vishwas Story"

And what a great book. The format of the book, the narration and the whole Vishwas story is so motivational. I thought I should share the summary and this may encourage some more people to pick the book and read.

Summary:

Successful people are not the people without problems. They have similar problems as many others do! But, they solve their problems.

The amount of success one can get, depends on the amount of problems one would solve. Most of us have the same or similar capability to solve problems. And still, only few succeed. Mostly, due to Lethargy.?

  • First, many cannot decide, which problems to solve, where to focus? And what do they want in life?
  • Second, some who decide and start working towards their target, a few failures and rejections can easily make them frustrated. with lost focus and hope, eventually leading them to laziness and complacency.?

So, Yes. Winning is important. But more important is, winning against self.

Nothing is impossible, the only obstacle is yourself.?

It's an amazing book. Must read for all. Especially, for those who want to cultivate the reading habit. The story is narrated in a simple and easily digestible format. It is quite easy to finish the book in one sitting, without getting bored or tired.?

It's a great story of a real person. Without getting into the details of the person and what happened to him, how he survived each failure etc is a read that should not be missed. To sum it up, the story narrates so seamlessly on,

  • How important it is to have a goal and work towards it with all the dedication and focus.
  • Pick up, any little spark, gain a little momentum and move ahead.
  • Survive the failures and rejections, for sure hard work and practice won't let you down.
  • Survive the boredom and keep winning against yourself. Practice, practice and practice.

There will be times when we feel the whole world is moving ahead and we are not. Embrace that feeling and continue the hard work. It may not bring the desired outcome today or tomorrow, but on someday, it will. And moreover, there is no greater feeling than having a satisfaction of doing our best, continuously..?

"GRIT - the Vishwas Story". Get your copy today and read. For me, it made my day. No, not just a day, at least 'a few weeks' :-).
