The dictionary meaning of winning is gaining, resulting in, or relating to victory in a contest or competition. Most of the time we relate winning to a prize or an award. However, winning is so much more than just an award. It is about gaining experiences, achieving victory over our fears & past failures, and gaining insights & knowledge from our mentors and role models. It is about winning people's hearts, titles, projects, receiving a promotion or a certification, and not in the least, overcoming self-doubt & our insecurities. It is about being motivated and pushing yourself to go that extra mile & do more after every win. To take that conscious effort to bring something new & out of the box to the table.

Winning is about making yourself and your near & dear ones proud, showing them that you are achieving success after putting in a lot of hard work & consistent efforts, and at times it is also winning through the victories of your friends and colleagues. It is about gaining self-confidence & self-esteem and overall projecting a winning image.?

Glad to share that exactly a week ago IMPA Pune Chapter won the Best Chapter Runner-Up Award (Non-Metro) at the IMPA National Conference 2023 held on the 4th & 5th of May in Mumbai.

I came back home not only as a proud and successful leader of a winning team comprising of some amazing experts & aspiring image consultants and soft skills trainers, but also having won the hearts of my team & community members. I won not only as a leader who was able to guide & mentor her team, but also as an individual who came home with more confidence & self-belief. And not to forget the abundance of knowledge from experts & industry leaders.?

I made my people proud of who I am today, of the hard work & efforts I have put in all throughout last year along with my team leads, to come up with creative ideas to engage our team members in various IMPA projects & initiatives.

All of the above has only motivated me & encouraged me to do more & give my best in the coming year too!

Sharing a few learnings from my past experiences here -?

1. Winning can mean different things to different individuals.

2. It motivates & encourages one to do more & do better.

3. Visualizing your win is good as long as you plan well & work hard in order to achieve your goal.

4. Be grateful for your win & thankful to those who were a part of the process.

5. Work towards your next win with much more zeal & enthusiasm. Come up with an even better plan that will help you gain knowledge, and newer skills, win over people's trust and overcome your self-doubts & low self-esteem.?

Thus, we need to remember that we may not always win an award or a prize, but we must look at the bigger picture, wherein we may have gained a new experience, learned something new, acquired a new skill, made new relationships & much more in the process. A confident & secure self-image will help you to have an open mind which in turn will help you grow, thus leading you to project a winning image.
