WINNING THE BATTLE!

There’s a battle going on. You rush in to defend your ground, your family and your territory knowing the enemy wants to strip it all from you. You know that the enemy is the darkest of dark- a fowler. But are you rushing into an enemy heavy environment with all of your armor on, or just a helmet? Do you agree rushing into battle with just a helmet, against a heavily equipped enemy, isn’t a smart strategy to achieving victory?
A fowler is professional bird catcher. In the days previous to firearms, birds were captured with nets spread on the ground, in traps and snares. There was a method of taking young birds from a nest, raising them by hand, and when they had become very tame, they were confined in hidden cages so that their voices would call others of their kind to the spot and they could be killed by arrows of concealed bowmen. They would also sew a captured bird's eyelids together and confining it so that its cries would call large numbers of birds through curiosity and they could then be taken in the ways mentioned.
Now we have been promised deliverance from the snare of the fowler. And we have been given armor to go into battle. Yet, many are just wearing the helmet of salvation going into battle and wonder why they feel beat down on a constant basis. Yes, accept Jesus and you will see heaven. But God has so many blessings in store for you here on earth as well. There is a battle. Know your weapons, both offensive and defensive, to escape from the bondage of the fowler who prowls like a lion looking to devour, steal, kill and destroy! Victory has already happened so that you- the person reading this- can enjoy life abundantly and to the full. Go and claim it!
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” ~ Ephesians 6:11-18 (KJV)
