Winners of FTA Awards to be announced on Thursday 10th October 2019

At Polar Ice we understand the importance of secure and on-time delivery of our products. Whether for freight forwarding, shipping of medical samples, airline catering or food processing, having the highest quality food grade dry ice on site and on time is a must for our customers. We have continually invested heavily in our drivers, fleet and transport management system. By introducing OptiDrive we have reduced fuel usage, increased driver efficiency, safety and well-being. Our drivers receive performance bonuses based on KPI's measured using this system and feedback from our customers is always excellent.

In early 2019 we were awarded the Truck Safe Gold Standard by the Freight Transport Association, becoming one of only a handful of companies in the Irish midlands to achieve this industry standard.

We are delighted to announce that Polar Ice are shortlisted in seven categories in the Fleet Transport Awards with the winners being announced on Thursday 10th October in Citywest Hotel, Dublin. Our team of drivers and Transport Manager will be in attendance as it's all due to their continued commitment and passion.

The categories we are shortlisted in are:

• Innovation Award
• Environment Award
• Fleet/Transport Manager of the Year - Denise Ryan
• Women in Transport - Denise Ryan

We are especially proud of our Transport Manager Denise Ryan (on right of picture above), a finalist in the Fleet/Transport Manager of the Year, the only female in the category and a worthy finalist.
