Winner In Filmmatic Screenplay Awards
Double Vengeance wins another award in the Filmmatic Screenplay Awards. The story is continuously honored for its topical story design. On one level it's about oppression and the maniac in the story design represents the evil in the world and what oppression can do to a crazy person verses what the hero will do for love, which is lay his own life on the line. Unfortunately, this kind of stuff goes on in the world and we can't stop it but as story tellers we can make a positive difference by expressing relevant substance.
Aristotle wrote thousands of years ago that "when there's a decline in story, the result is decadence in society." Double Vengeance is not just gratuitous violence like so many countless movies that de-sensitize people. If this movie can change the way one person with evil motives thinks because the story touched them in a way that they didn't go do something bad because they understand the pain they are going through, because they experienced it viscerally through the characters... If it just stopped one person from being evil because they want to be like the hero, Jesh, instead of the maniac... Then this script matters. A lot.
