Will there be a winner!

We are just entering round 3 and the USA are ahead on points. If it goes the distance, will there actually be a winner? All I can see is the world economy with a bloody nose and possibly two black eyes; and turning back into a recession around 18 months sooner than it should have started the next down cycle. The biggest loser, once again, will be the public, especially the consumer.

Higher interest rates and higher importing costs will impact consumer spending and more importantly consumer and investor confidence. All before the central banks have the opportunity to offload a sizeable chunk of their balance sheet...I hope they have a plan B!

It will be interesting under these conditions to see where investors run for cover!!!
