Wine and Other Self sabotage Tales

Wine calms me down and gives me this writing urge, When we've had few glass there's a kind of silence sets in and that's when we share stories intertwine with the whispers of fate, this is my story of self sabotage and a tale of ambition, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of dreams. It begins two years ago, a time when the horizon seemed distant, and opportunities felt like distant stars beyond reach.

I remember the day when a South African firm came knocking, their offer dangling before me like a tantalizing promise of prosperity. But as swiftly as hope had risen, it was dashed against the rocks of reality. The verdict was clear: "Too young," they said. And so, I watched as the door closed, leaving behind the bitter taste of rejection.

Yet, in the midst of disappointment, fate weaved its tapestry, drawing me into the company of a friend, a fellow traveler in the labyrinth of life. With a shared bond forged in the fires of rejection, we found solace in our banter, nicknaming each other after cartoon characters that mirrored our perceived ages.

But this story is not about us; it is about the ripples of impact that emanate from our encounters. It is about the moment when yesterday's lessons collide with tomorrow's aspirations, igniting a spark that sets the soul ablaze with possibility.

Yesterday, I found myself in the presence of a seasoned veteran, a titan of industry with decades of experience etched into the lines of his face. He spoke of accolades and achievements, of boardrooms and billionaires. Yet, in the quiet confession of a shared moment, he revealed a truth that transcended titles and accolades.

"Felix," he said, his voice a whisper against the backdrop of corporate grandeur, "you have disrupted my thinking. You have shown me the power of innovation, the art of seeing beyond the confines of tradition." His words echoed in the chambers of my mind, a testament to the impact of daring to dream differently.

And as I stood in the shadow of his wisdom, I realized that age is but a number, and greatness knows no bounds. For in the dance of destiny, I have become Napoleon and Genghis, a warrior of ambition with fire in my veins and dreams as vast as the African horizon.

But this journey is not without its trials and tribulations. I have stumbled, fallen, and risen again, each setback a lesson in resilience, each challenge a stepping stone to greatness. And so, I embrace the process, the relentless pursuit of growth, and the unwavering commitment to becoming the best version of myself.

As I mark another year on this journey called life, I cast aside the shackles of self-doubt and embrace the call to leadership with unwavering determination. For Africa beckons, her lands ripe with promise and potential, waiting for champions to rise and lead her into a new dawn of prosperity.

So, as I stand on the precipice of possibility, I declare with conviction and clarity: I am ready to roar, to lead, to inspire. And as the echoes of my declaration reverberate through the corridors of fate, I know that the time for self-sabotage is over. Africa needs me, and I am ready to answer the call.
