Checking its performance across different countries, Windscribe has low latency, zero packet loss, and ok-ish internet speed, which makes it a brilliant choice for casual internet use. You don’t have to worry about performance, as its autopilot feature will immediately connect with the best performing network in your area.

On the downside, however, windscribe only provides worldwide GEO-location bypass to its premium users, which means you have limited routing options on a free plan. Also, the data speed varies depending on the country you live in.

Security and Privacy

Windscribe’s website claims to have the best encryption policy. In fact, their use of WireGuard and OpenVPN with AES-256 encryption aligns with my personal recommendation, as they ensure high-speed, ease-of-use, and secure VPN tunneling.

You can use their split tunneling feature, which offers control over the use of VPN across different apps and services. Windscribe allows permanent port forwarding (if you buy a static IP), which means external IP protection and shielding from Ddos attacks.

The VPN also has a firewall (commonly known as a 'kill switch') for leak prevention and secure tunneling. Unlike the cheaper and basic ‘Kill Switch’, Windscribe can prevent ISPs from noticing that YOU are using a VPN. Although rare, this may indeed happen due to accidental kill switch failures.
