Windows 12: The Personal AI Assistant
(Opinion piece)
A fully AI integrated Windows! How does that sound? Sounds revolutionary to me.
Microsoft integrated the GPT 3.5 into Bing and it has been very useful. Search is becoming easy and traditional SEO is soon going to become invalid, unless I am wrong.
But how is this going to continue forward?
Google holds around 93% of all search traffic, for now. The way Google makes money on search is through Ads.
If Google adds a chat AI tool, similar to the Bing chat bot (possibly with BARD), it downplays its very own revenue structure.
But Microsoft can go all in because they are not making revenue like Google from Bing.?
This is a pure play for market share with nothing to lose for Microsoft.
And that’s great! But when you really think about it, if Microsoft cannot make money, or at least with the same ad revenue structure, what’s their next game plan?
AI-up Everything!
Their game plan is definitely adding AI to their products, but which products specifically?
They recently introduced the Microsoft 365 copilot and it's going to make our office drudgery a lot easier. But, Google or other tech giants can (or will) do the same and introduce similar products, sooner than later.
So what's going to be Microsoft's big play? What is Microsoft’s Big Product??
For Google, it’s the Google search engine. Yes, they have YouTube, Chrome, their Cloud platform, and the Google workspace, but when it comes down to the core, it’s the Google search!
And Microsoft fighting to take market share on Google’s main playfield is a great play, but that’s not where they win.
Microsoft’s BIG THING is Windows.?It has always been Windows.
It’s not their office suite, not their Cloud services and definitely not Bing.
It’s Windows.
And isn’t it curious that we started hearing about Windows 12, five months after the full release of Windows 11?
Right after ChatGPT blew up! The timing seems oddly convenient.

If I had to guess, I would say that Microsoft had plans for Windows 11 for the long run, just like they did with Windows 10.
But Windows 11 is barely an improvement. Yes it’s an upgrade and it introduced some new features like adding the android app integration.
I think they understood that Windows 11 was lacking in that big upgrade.?That defining element!
And then walks in OpenAI, waving their massive ChatGPT wand.
AI Powered Windows 12
So, what I am trying to say is, why will Microsoft fight with Google using Bing when they can integrate AI directly in Windows?
This way, no Windows user has to ever leave Windows and search for stuff online.?
They can literally do it from the OS!
It’s basically what they tried AND failed with integration of Bing with Windows search.?
Barely anyone uses Windows search to look for answers online, because it’s bad, and it’s not Google.
But now you can get in-depth answers to any question you want, even more with GPT 4. And it's going to get better with each upgrade.
Search will become invalid!
Just imagine, AI in every home! Rings similar to PC being in every home doesn’t it??
This will revolutionize everything, the same way PC did back in the 80s.
Who doesn't want a personalized Jarvis? Everyone is already sold out on this idea.
But, this also means a new age is coming, a massive shakeup is going to occur.?
People are going to go around with their personal AI assistants, and maybe, just maybe, the Windows phones will make a comeback.?

So, what do you guys think? Am I crazy, you can tell me if you think so! Come and have a discussion with me, I am really interested to know other opinions on Windows 12 being like a personal AI assistant.
