Windows 11 Updates

Have you seen the Windows Photos app? It might seem like a basic tool for viewing and managing images. However, with an upcoming update to Windows 11 there is a new feature that could be very useful: Visual Search with Bing.

With this update you will be able to do a reverse image search straight from the Photos app. Have you heard of Google lens? This is a very similar idea but on Windows!

So how can this benefit you?

Imagine you are looking at a photo and you want to know more about a product, place or even person in the image. Reverse image search is the perfect way to find out this information. It is a great tool for eCommerce owners as it is a great way to find out who else is selling a product similar to yours. You can also use it to compare pricing or track down new suppliers.

Visual Search with Bing is also a great tool for your marketing department. Your team can use it to find similar images in campaigns, to check your marketing isn’t being used anywhere else and it also can be useful to make sure you have permission to use images.

Reverse image search isn’t the only thing that Microsoft are updating though. They have also made it even easier to flick through your photos and edit images by improving the navigation and introducing a quick access editing tool right in the app. You will also now be able to sync Photos with iCloud – this is great for team that use apple and windows in tandem.
