Windows 10 Upgrades with Improving Waves

Many businesses are struggling with keeping up on Microsoft Windows 10 deployments and adjusting to the new release model. Microsoft has moved away from the old release model and now requires organizations to get and stay current.

The prior release model rolled out a new operating system every few years. Every systems management professional has been in the situation of moving from Windows XP to Windows 7, or (for some of us) moving from Windows NT4 to Windows 2000. The process was never easy, but you always had enough time to plan for the next roll out of an OS. The old release model gave engineers time to test and validate applications and hardware against the next OS, and many times you could skip versions or releases.

How is this different in Windows 10? The release window is much more frequent and requires a rinse and repeat approach. Windows 10 is now an 18 month support cycle and a 6 month release cycle. What that means is a new version of Windows 10 is released every 6 months and each release is usually supported for 18 months.

At Improving; we’ve developed a strategy and tools to work in conjunction with Microsoft Endpoint Manager to allow for you to maintain your Windows 10 environment or to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7. With our expertise, tools, and approach we can help a customer reach their goal of getting Windows 10 rolled out to their environment or to successfully migrate to newer versions of Windows 10.
