This is what we know!
We're already hearing rumours about Windows 12, despite the fact that Windows 11 has only just reached its first birthday. As we won’t see this new operating system until 2024, there’s no rush for now, but we love being ahead of the game, so let’s take a look at what we know so far.
Speculation on Microsoft's plans is limited, and the company is as usual coy about them. It is likely that a floating taskbar dock and a search bar will be the focal points of the top of the screen. Instead of being at the bottom of the screen, the widgets panel and Action Centre will be located at the top.
When it comes to hardware requirements, we don't expect there to be as many changes as with Windows 11, but we don't expect as many headaches as with Windows 10. Since more PCs will be compatible out of the box, the adoption rate will be higher.
?As Microsoft continues to focus firmly on security, some of the security hardware required by Windows 11 may become increasingly important. Our most pressing concern is that we will see more of those minor improvements that make such a big difference to user experience. The number one priority will be making sure Windows 12 is bug free and stable - which will come as good news to businesses.
