Wind River software enhancements power Intel's IoT Platform for new markets, developers
Another year, another opportunity to see the evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) through the lens of Intel and its ecosystem partners, as well as what theyre doing about it. But while the third annual Intel IoT Insights saw Intel CEO Brian Krzanich announce a second reference architecture for the Intel IoT Platform (originally released at Intel IoTInsights 2014), a new family of Quark SoCs (originally unveiled at Intel Developer Forum 2013), and a new integrated sensor hub, perhaps the most significant message to come out of Tuesday's event was a commitment to supporting broad market IoT developers, and the realization that that will be enabled by software.
