We've been in planning mode for months and we cannot wait to welcome you into our festive Zoom room of music, games and a big old celebration of you and your 2024 in business!

This years’ Milspo? Awards Night & Christmas Party is happening on the 18th of December from 7.30pm, and this year we have five special awards to present to our Milspo? community.

Milspo? New Talent Award 2024 For new SPO businesses that have launched in the last 18 months.

Milspo? Collaboration Award 2024 A spouse, partner or other-half business owner who can demonstrate examples of working with or alongside other Milspo or related organisations in a mutually reciprocal way

Milspo? Ad Astra Award 2024 Our network’s favourite spouse, partner or other-half business owner for demonstrating resilience, determination and a profitable business and is super supportive of all things Milspo?.

Milspo? Positive Impact Award 2024 In recognition of outstanding commitment to fostering positive change. This award celebrates individuals or businesses within the Milspo? community who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to community enrichment, network empowerment, or sustainability initiatives. Their work will have a lasting, positive impact, embodying the essence of service and empowerment.

Milspo? Team Award 2024 – Chosen from all nominated business owners

The Milspo? Team Award 2024 recognises the unwavering support and exceptional champion within the military spouse entrepreneurial landscape.

This category honours a business owner whose dedication to the Milspo? community extends beyond their enterprise, uplifting the Milspo? community to a wider audience while supporting our Milspo? Movement by…

• Supporting our members and our Milspo? Team to build successful, transient businesses that can flourish and support their modern military lives.
• Engaging with an extended community, focusing on promoting Milspo? businesses to a greater audience.

This individual not only champions the positive message of military spouse self-employment but also serves as an example of inclusive entrepreneurship, creating opportunities and amplifying the voices of fellow Milspo? entrepreneurs.

Criteria – each business must be wholly owned and run by a military spouse, partner or other-half, and will also need to attend the 2024 Milspo Awards & Christmas Party on the 18th December.

Tips for your nomination – Alongside fulfilling the needs under each entry, we want to know why your nominated business is so special. We’d like to see evidence of their positive approach to business and Armed Forces life and why being a member of the Milspo? community is important.

You can nominate the same business in as many categories as you would like, but please restart the form for a new nomination.

And I know what you're probably thinking, that you would LOVE to be an award winning business owner, well this is your chance....even if you have some doubts.

The Milspo team and I will be choosing the final winners, and we know exactly what it's like to build a business around the chaos of military life, because we do it every day.

Even if you don't think you're good enough, I know for 100% that you are - if you can start a business around deployments, postings, weekending, and all the other nonsense that we have to overcome then you are certainly who we are looking for (I still can't believe we don't get our own medal!).

The party is free, and the awards are too, so you have nothing to lose, and so much to gain.

This is the last Milspo event that we're running in 2024, unless you're an Inner Circle VIP, and so we'd love to see you, even if you're new to Milspo.

Milspo?, The InDependent Spouse?, findamilspo, The Business Launch Accelerator Course, and The Milspo Inner Circle are all part of the Milspo Network CIC - a volunteer organisation and social enterprise built by the serving spouses, partners and other halves of UK military personnel to support the community's entrepreneurial endeavours. We get it because we live it every day, and we want everyone to find inspiration, support and a community that helps make military life a little bit better - a rising tide lifts all boats.

Founded in 2018, the Milspo Network CIC has been built on the goodwill of its members and the support of its volunteers. After a series of failed funding bids and a struggle to change the narrative of why this community needs that extra bit of support, we are now looking for sponsorship or financial help so that Milspo can continue to provide into 2024 and 2025.
