Do you watch cooking shows? Lots of people do.
I do. And I love it.
What happens when you watch someone cook a badass meal or eat at some killer restaurant?
It's inspiring, right?
You get to see the entire process from start to finish.
I’m curious how do you feel after watching a cooking show?
I’ll bet you go in the kitchen open the fridge and try and whip up something to eat.
You pull out all kinds of ingredients, pots pans, and plates and try to create some crazy gourmet meal.
Why does this happen?
My theory is we are so influenced by our surroundings that watching those shows makes us hungry even if we are not.
We get inspired watching someone do something and it trickers the dopamine in our brains.
In reality, most people would have made a simple sandwich or salad before watching the show.
But after watching those show, it’s a full on 3-course meal.
It's crazy.
If you know that it happens to you, then you can use it to your advantage.
Need to clean the house, watch a hoarding show.
Need to fix something in the house watch any do it yourself type shows.
Want to be a couch potato turn on a movie.
You can change your actions by changing your influences.
Imagine what would happen if you surrounded yourself with other badasses?
People who were going for it and leveling up their game.
People who were challenging life and going for it.
A group of motivated, action taking people wanting to Rise together.
How would that impact your life?
If a TV show can get you do things, imagine watching real life.

6 年Fear; I’m motivated by fear of failure. I constantly ask myself, “Over the next 5 – 10 years, what do I need to do to not only stay relevant, but sought after and in demand?” Thinking about what would happen if I didn’t change fast enough is frightening to me as a consultant, leader, and a future business leader. I tackle fear in a positive way, although Im facing some current hurdles I know I will make it through with a positive vision!
