Win Big: build a future-proof tech stack

Most SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) applications focus on one thing and one thing only. Why? Because focus is important. Focus only on what you do best. ??If one tries to do it all in one software, you end up with a collection of average functionalities. Average doesn’t cut it anymore. Not in applications, not in any business.

Today’s winning companies combine various applications to build up their ‘tech stack’. Like a digital puzzle. Instead of using a ‘one tool fits all’, they combine and link applications to each other. If you do it right, the result is a sum of premium functionalities that is always higher than a single tool’s functions.

If you do it excellent, you have the potential to win big.

This digital strategy keeps you agile as a business in this fast pace world: one of the best attributes in an 'adapt or die' environment. Imagine, if tomorrow’s ‘next big thing’ (think VR/AR, AI, block chain,...) in software is ready for the big audience: how are you benefiting from this technology?

Are you building it yourself or subscribe to a specialist SaaS company? ??

Right. Make sure you buy into the very best SaaS application you can find and link it to your tech stack. Fast implementation, complementary and great value for money. Like a spoiler on your tuned-out car in the garage.

Some tips in building up a future-proof tech stack:

  1. ??Make sure your foundation is strong (we don’t want any Jenga situations). Take one central application that becomes your backbone, integrated and synced with all the other. If you are active in Real Estate, SweepBright is such a core application for your day-to-day operations. Think of it as a pyramid. Provide a strong basis that can carry the rest.
  2. ??Find the perfect match. If you find yourself across a new application, make sure it ‘matches’ with the rest of your digital portfolio. Look for ‘open’ tools with direct integrations, web hooks or that are connected to middleware like Zapier or Blendr.io. Nothing worse than an application, drifting a away on a digital island.
  3. ??Calculate the return. Balance the monthly/yearly SaaS subscription fee to the added value it creates for your business. How much worth is your time, business transparency or a better delivered customer’s experience? Make the sum. Calculate the return on investment. You’ll see, most of the time it is great value for money.

So tell me: What are your favorite SaaS tools? How high is your tech stack? Have more questions? Suggestions? Disagree? I'm happy to connect with you.
