Win $500 Cash Prize #DripMyCane Design Contest

As you learn in my video, I didn't start using a white cane to help me get around until three years ago. But as I found out, my white cane oftentimes becomes a barrier because people don't know what to say to me. My friends who are visually impaired who use guide dogs don't experience this. So I invite you to #DripMyCane by creating a design that will turn my white cane into a conversation starter.

Some background: White Cane Awareness Day is coming up soon but not that many people know what it's all about. On Oct 15, every year, achievements of people with visual impairments are celebrated and organizations look to bring awareness to the independence of these individuals by highlighting the symbol of the white cane.

That's where you, artists and designers, come in. By participating in the #DripMyCane Design Contest, you'll help celebrate this day that gives independence to so many people. Plus, you could win a $500 cash prize!

We are looking for you to create amazing, original designs to be used as a creative wrap on the canes, like a sleeve. There are no restrictions on color or artwork but the canes are 35 inches in length and 2 inches in circumference so make sure your design will work for those measurements!

This contest is open to EVERYONE!  Deadline to submit is October 8th. The winner will be announced on October 15th when we celebrate White Cane Awareness Day.

The #DripMyCane Design Contest is sponsored by LCI Tech and Walk West and Creative Allies.
