Sometimes Protection Plan goals can be intimidating. We’ve all been there at the beginning of our shifts wondering how we’re going to finish the day! On days when you share the same worried feelings think about using this best practice: win the first hour.
Did you know that in some societies shop owners believe that when they get their first customer to make a purchase they’ll have a good sales day? They put a lot of extra effort into closing that first sale and ringing a “lucky” sale in the register to start the day right. Having that positive start helps everyone to approach the next customer, and the next, knowing that “customers are buying today.” And for those of us who’ve tried this approach…it works!
For us it’s not necessary to focus on your monthly, weekly, or daily Protection Plan goals when you start your shift. Just focus on “winning the first hour” and completing those 60 minutes with a Protection Plan sale. Or a bunch of Protection Plan sales! You may be surprised just how much of a positive boost you’ll get from that first hour of focus. Winning the first hour is your first step to winning the entire day, so…Make It Happen In That First Hour!
