WIN $1000.00 OF FREE FLOORING FOR THE UGLIEST FLOOR IN LAS VEGAS

As you may or may not know, our 2018 Ugly Floor Contest will get under way February 1st 2018 and we’re planning to award the winner $1000 in flooring and installation from Elite flooring plus.

This year we’re doing things a little bit differently – instead of having our staff decide the winner, we’re leaving it to our LinkedIn community to judge.

How do I do it?

1.       A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words

Try to use an actually digital camera and take several pictures to ensure that you’ve taken the highest possible quality photograph. (You can only submit one photo.) The better job you do of conveying the true repulsiveness of your floor, the better your chances.

2.       Add Some Drama

Pictures with pets and babies are popular and eye-catching, particularly if the pets and babies look upset by the glaring unsightliness of your floor.

3.       The Busier the Better/Worse

Floors that have won in the past have tended to be ones that have loud crazy patterns with colors that don’t quite go together. This isn’t a hard fast rule, and since judging is being done differently, it remains to be seen exactly what type of floor will win. Chances are, if you think it’s really ugly, others will, too.

4.       Tell Your Friends

Since we are leaving it to our Facebook community to pick the winner this year, it will behoove you to tell your friends that you’ve entered the Ugly Floor Contest and encourage them to vote for you.

5.       Be Funny

When you send your picture, you’ll have the opportunity to give it a title. Pull out all the stops, and come up with a name that’s clever and conjures an emotional response from viewers. You’re telling a story, in a way – the story in which you’re the hero and your floor is the villain.
