Hello everyone ?? ??,
The Championships 2024 kicked off to a fine start! Since 1st July 2024, I've been covering The Championships 2024. This will run through to 14th July 2024. As always, I'll be highlighting my favorite aspects of the best tennis Grand Slam ever!
Let’s begin!
Wimbledon 2024 Day 11
Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova have booked a very special place in the Ladies' Singles finals event at Wimbledon . Alcaraz, Medvedev, Musetti and Djovokic will be battling for a very special place in the Gentlemen's Singles finals event. If you've not been following actively like I have, this is the best time to start. Here's a look at the top stories, players, and their performances during Day 11 of The Championships 2024.
Ladies' Singles Final Awaits
And then they were two. It's truly exciting to see Jasmine Paolini make it to back-to-back Grand Slam finals. What a superstar she is! Y'all know I'm rooting for her no matter what! FORZA JASMINE!!
Powerful Paolini
Jasmine Paolini continued her impressive run, securing a spot in the semifinals after defeating Donna Vekic. Paolini's aggressive baseline play and powerful groundstrokes were key to her victory, as she managed to neutralize Vekic's serve and dictate the pace of the longest ever Ladies' Singles semi-final match - 2 hours and 51 minutes. Paolini’s performance has been one of the standout stories of this year’s Wimbledon , marking her a player to watch in the final. Catch the highlight of the game here.

Bullish Barbora
In a gripping encounter, Barbora Krejcikova overcame Elena Rybakina - the top favorite to win Wimbledon - in a match that showcased both players' resilience and skill. Krejcikova, known for her tactical prowess and versatility, managed to outlast Rybakina in a tightly contested match. The game was a testament to Krejcikova's strategic play and ability to stay composed under pressure, setting her up for a promising advancement in the tournament. Catch the highlight here.
In an emotional on-court post match interview, Barbora wiped away tears as she paid tribute to Jana Novotna - Ladies' Singles Champion in 1998. Novotna died from ovarian cancer in 2017 at the age of 49. Listen to Barbora share her feelings of how much she's missed her dear friend and mentor
The Gentlemen's #5 seed, Medvededv, will face the #3 seed, Alcaraz, at 13:30 BST. Musetti, the #25 seed will face #2 seed and 7x Wimbledon Champion Djokovic. I want to see an Alcaraz v Musetti final as everyone knows by now that I do not want Novak to equal my GOAT's (Federer) Wimbledon titles. VAMOS CARLOS!!!
