Willingness and Willpower, are different yet very similar words. During a workshop on self-reflection session at my organisation, all the participants had the opportunity to go rappelling, an activity as a part of self-reflections of own persona and learnings.
The morning when we had to go rappelling, I was super excited and more than willing to do it. After seeing a few members, I went upstairs excitedly for my turn, but it was not as simple as it seemed to be from downstairs.
However, with all my will to do it, I went with a tied up harness and crossed the wall part with one leg and tried to push my second leg but couldn`t do so I came down with the willingness to try it again after a while. I went again with all my willingness and willpower telling myself I can and will do it but surprisingly, I couldn`t do it and somehow couldn`t push my second leg and cross the wall to start rappelling the wall.
During the whole process till my two trials, I never had a thought of quitting and not doing it even once. I, somehow always said to myself, I can and I will, not to show it to someone but because simply I wanted to do it. I wanted to experience it, I didn`t want to lose that joy.
I again went the third time with some more willingness and of course, unsaid external motivation of my team members and this time I did it. The wall of which I was not confident at the start, now I didn't want to leave. The trainers and team members for sure played a vital role but the driving force was WILLINGNESS.

Willingness to do it, willingness to experience it. And then I realized, that one could have the willpower to do something but it`s the willingness which can bring wonders and joy to the experience.
I would be happy even if I would have not completed it, as at least I tried and challenged my inhibitions and fears but I was much happier to experience something like this.
As per me, one always puts and thrives more than what she/he could if her/his willingness is there.
