Williamtown, NSW: life inside the "Red Zone"
In September 2015, the Australian Department of Defence admitted that toxic contamination had spread from the RAAF Base at Williamtown NSW into the local water supply, causing untold damage to the local community. For the past few months, I have been working with the residents to help them seek justice via a class action against the polluter. The story is both fascinating and troubling - see here for an excellent summary by Chris Ray in the Sydney Morning Herald: https://www.smh.com.au/good-weekend/whats-happening-to-the-water-in-williamtown-20160314-gniay1.html
