Wilhelm’s health-e news
Day 1 of Better Together. Team Wilhelm 2022
Welcome to your latest edition of Wilhelm’s health-e news.
Last week, we took some time out to reflect on the past and focus on the future. Our conference – Better Together. Team Wilhelm 2022 – saw many of us together for the very first time as we’ve grown a lot over the last couple of years. It was great to see the team working together to identify issues and opportunities for the business. More of that below.
We continue to press the need for change to protect interventionalists and their teams from potentially harmful radiation and muscular skeletal injuries by using our innovative Rampart technology. This month we’ll be at CSANZ (The 70th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand) on the Gold Coast, where they’ll be able to see Rampart first hand, listen to Senior Medical Radiation Scientist Glenn Ison present and Dr Rustem Dautov will be conducting a live case with Rampart at Brisbane’s The Prince Charles Hospital, the first installation of Rampart in Australia.
Last month, New Zealand’s Grace Hospital in Tauranga opened two new operating theatres, complete with our Indigo-Clean, AirFRAME, Caresyntax 4K Digital Integration and world class Amico pendants and lights. These theatres, some of the most advanced operating theatres in New Zealand, deliver the ultimate in safety and infection control technology. They follow similar developments where we have worked together at Evolution’s Royston Hospital and Royston Day Surgery in Hawkes Bay.
Later this month we’ll be at the 2022 Day Hospitals Australia National Conference at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart from the 31st of August to the 2nd of September. With the conference entitled ‘Solutions for the Future’ we look forward to demonstrating the many ways Wilhelm can provide superior healthcare environments through our Modular Design and Construction, Safety, Infection Prevention and Control and Digital Health Solutions.
Then from the 9th to the 11th of September we’ll be at the Gastroenterological Society of Australia’s AGW at the ICC in Sydney, showcasing one of the key platforms of our Digital Health offering, Provation. It’s going to be a busy month.
We’re always seeking innovative solutions to meet our customers needs.
We thank you for being part of our journey.
Regards
Chad Wilhelm

Breaking the chain of infections in hospitals?
As the exclusive partner for Surfacide in Australia and New Zealand, we're seeing great interest in this innovative technology, as facilities are now able to procure Surfacide as an operating cost, without the need for capital outlay. This makes it much easier to integrate as part of your infection prevention and control regime.
Moving patients, maintaining dignity and reducing the risk of injury
More and more hospitals are employing Patient Lift Pendants and Equipment Transfer Systems in a variety of setting with significant benefits for both staff and patients. How far is your facility progressed on this journey??
Bringing AirFRAME Cleanroom Technology to the Operating Room?
Should AirFRAME Cleanroom technology be adopted by more hospitals like innovators Evolution Healthcare and Nexus Hospitals? We think so.
Why Interventionalists and their teams lives matter

Rampart?is a revolutionary solution to dramatically improve the working conditions for Interventionalists and their teams. Above all, it's about providing a safer working environment. Here's to the day when we've been able to place Rampart in every Cardiac Cath Lab in Australia and New Zealand.
Better Together
The Wilhelm team took some time out last week to reflect on the past and focus on the future. In the process we had some fun, building bikes for a local Youth and Community Organisation Weave.
A presentation and a live case not to be missed
Rampart is changing the way Interventionalists and their teams work for good. As we mentioned, we’ll be at CSANZ so make sure you pop by to see us at Stand 106
If you’re planning to attend ANZET22 (running concurrently with CSANZ), be sure not to miss Mr?Glenn Ison, Senior Medical Radiation Scientist, St George Hospital at the ANZET Affiliates' Symposium, 1.30pm, Saturday August 13, presenting 'The added burden of operator and staff radiation dose and how full shielding systems can help'
Also on Saturday August 13, at 4.15pm in Session 10, Dr Rustem Dautov will be conducting a live case at Rampart at Brisbane’s The Prince Charles Hospital, the first installation of Rampart in Australia.?
Meet Quality Assurance Manager, Peter Duffy
Peter, what is your role and how long have you been with Wilhelm?
My role at Wilhelm is Quality Assurance Manager and I’ve been in the role for 6 months -though I’ve been with Wilhelm since we started operations back in 2016
What brought you to Wilhelm?
What brought me to Wilhelm was the fact that it was a startup company. It was Australian and it had leading edge solutions. That combination is very much different from other companies and other environments I’ve ever worked in. ?
What does a day in the life of Pete look like?
One of the things I really do enjoy about the role as the quality assurance manager, I get the opportunity to deal across the whole spectrum of the organisation. So, in any one day I could quite just as easily be working with the team from sales, or marketing, our operations, service, projects, even finance and HR as well, and that’s pretty much most days.
What do you love about working at Wilhelm?
What I love about working with Wilhelm is the fact that I get to know everyone in the organisation and hence, get to work closely with them as a result. It gives me the opportunity to understand the whole business. It’s also the culture we have within the organisation, whereat we’re not a “me too” company by any means. We bring in leading edge solutions and products from the globe and bring it into the Australian market. Being involved with like-minded people who are passionate about bringing such solutions to the Australian and New Zealand market makes it for a very satisfying environment – specially to see the outcomes these solutions provide to our customers.
What achievements are you most proud of?
As we’ve moved from startup to growth, there’s been the opportunity to improve and develop our processes to ensure we maintain efficiency. Lots of new people in the company, lots of new things that need to be done, means lots more checks and balances. For example, I put in a new pricing system which makes it simple and easy for everyone in the organisation to use. Another example where I instituted a new system is on the supply chain management side of the business where we need to keep track of more than ever before. So having a new system in place for that is my pride and joy.
Thanks Peter for a little peek into your world at Wilhelm
