Please tell us a little bit about yourself...

I am co-owner of W&T Contracting Corporation. I have been part of W&T Contracting Corporation since its inception, which began in 1997. We are a full-service civil contractor.

Who have been your female role models?

I have been inspired by many great women. Just to name a few, my mother Mrs. Glossie Richards, my wife Angela, my daughter Miss Brittany Patton, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama. ?

What about them do you admire?

I admire their strengths as well as their wisdom. ?????????????????????????????????

What words of wisdom did your mother/grandmothers/aunts share with you?

Always treat people in the matter that you would want to be treated.

What is the most important message you want to send out to young women thinking about their careers??

Always set goals and a plan for your life and work the plan. Anything is possible to achieve if you believe in it.

Why do you think it is important to celebrate Women’s History Month?

It is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.

I am Co-President of W&T Contracting Corporation, one of Mid-south’s leading Civil Infrastructure Contractors.

Who have been your female role models?

My first role model is my Mother. I always admired her self-esteem and the constant encouragement of everyone to pursue purposeful endeavors.??In addition, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton have always been inspiring for similar reasons.?????????

What about them do you admire?

They both were constantly challenged in terms of how they perceived leadership from the perspective of a woman. Both Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Clinton demonstrated humility and dignity admirable to all who desire to lead

What words of wisdom did your mother/grandmothers/aunts share with you?

All of the women in my family are always inspired by strength, honesty, and integrity and will always be the pillars of success.???

What is the most important message you want to send out to young women thinking about their careers?

I would encourage all young women to seek out meaningful career pursuits that will require passion and excellence.??

Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Month?

Our world is a better place as a result of women’s critical contributions. They deserve to be honored for those contributions.????
