Into The Wilds Of Bengal Safari

Gone are those days when education was confined to the four walls of classrooms. Now, academics are introduced to adventure to stir curiosity amongst students to learn and discover. Sticking true to a contemporary tradition of learning, we kick-started our academic session with a trip to Bengal Safari.

The trip was officially the first boarders outing for the session 2023-24. In fact, it was an initiative of the school to welcome new boarding students to the school. So on that note, we traveled and reached Bengal Safari in a rather exciting manner with students longing to see their desired animals in the wild.

After reaching the field, we got off the school bus and took a refreshment trip to the surroundings. Now, with entry tickets in hand, we lined up in a disciplined manner and entered the gate to interact with our newfound surroundings.

The eventful trip as scheduled was divided into a world of herbivores, Tiger Safari, and bird watching. first up, the safari ride gave us a detailed trip to a world of herbivores but as expected the tiger safari was the star of the trip.

To see a tiger in the wild walking freely in its own territory was a treat to see. It was great to graph the learning indices of geography, biology, and environmental education. After a worthwhile escape to an enclosure of a tiger, next up we walk the acres of woods exploring different kinds of birds and exotic animals. The moment was well spent with the students making the most of the opportunity by socializing with each other. Matter of fact, the trip sprung up as a platform for new students to get acquainted with the seniors.

It was a sight to behold when seniors took the hand of junior students and walk them through the entire trip. The questions were though dodged cleverly by seniors but it was heart-warming to see them taking initiative.

After a daylong trip in a little humid environment, it was time to head back to school but before that, we had a feisty brunch and snapshots.

The overall aim of the trip was to give refreshments and reward students with a bouquet of smiles which was achieved in the most acceptable manner. The program was well concluded with each student showing the utmost respect for the surroundings with gratitude towards the school for organizing such an inspiring tour.
