What is WildFly???
WildFly is a lightweight, open-source Java application server designed to simplify application development. It follows Java EE specifications and can run on various operating systems, including 64 and 32-bit systems.
Released under the GNU LGPL , it's freely available for public use and distribution. WildFly aims to streamline development, enhance resource management, and reduce technical complexities, ultimately saving time and resources for users. In essence, it's a tool that accelerates development and improves efficiency while being cost-effective due to its open-source nature.

WildFly 32 introduces new features across security, provisioning, and development realms, continuing its commitment to feature stability levels introduced in the previous version. Users can now explore features at different stages of development, from experimental to default stability levels, ensuring flexibility without compromising stability.
Security enhancements include dynamic SSLContext delegation for outbound requests and expanded configuration options for OpenID Connect authentication. Moreover, WildFly now automatically updates credentials and attributes in the cache upon external updates, enhancing security protocols.
Provisioning tools have been upgraded to support feature stability levels, with the WildFly Channels project allowing separate maintenance of component versions for provisioning, ensuring smoother deployments.
Developers benefit from ported subsystem development enhancements and new utilities for server reloads to different stability levels, simplifying development processes.

WildFly Preview 32 now supports Jakarta EE 11 , offering milestone, Release Candidate, and Final releases of many EE 11 specs. It no longer runs on Java SE 11 ; you'll need SE 17 or higher. Standard WildFly 32 still supports SE 11 but recommends moving to SE 17 or later for future-proofing.
Stability Levels and Compatibility ??
WildFly 32 introduces feature stability levels: experimental, preview, community, and default. Standard WildFly supports community and default, while WildFly Preview adds a preview to the mix. You can adjust stability levels using the stability parameter.
New features are labelled in release notes, specifying their stability level. Galleon provisioning tooling now lets you control feature stability during installation. You can prevent lower stability features from being provisioned or include them in generated configuration files.
Configuration options in Maven plugins allow customisation of stability levels. The wildfly-maven-plugin , wildfly-jar-maven-plugin , WildFly Glow , and Galleon tools all support this feature.
WildFly 32 is Jakarta EE 10, Web Profile, and Core Profile compatible with Java SE 11 and SE 17. It's also EE 10 Core Profile compatible with SE 21 . Evidence of certification is available on the WildFly Certifications GitHub repository.
