Wild Lands

Wild lands roaming free
Sun rising majestically
A beautiful day
Down by the watering hole
The elephant family
Basking in the cool water
Cautiously having a drink
The young playing while the adults stand and think
The breeze playing a soothing tune
As it dances in the grasslands
Weaving through
The African Savanna standing tall
Part of the beauty of natures call
A leopard lazing in the tree
Observing the scenery
Far and wide the crickets sound
The heat like a furnace all around
Lizards basking on the rocks
Camouflaged by their clever spots
A vulture flying overhead
Searching for any new found dead
The cleaner of these lands
The zebra herd graze away
Alert for danger too
The lioness in the long grass strategically makes her move
Alerted by the kookaburra's laughing high above
They all stampede knowing dangers on it's way
Their hooves sounding like thunder on a stormy day
Dust clouds rise into the air
The zebras crossing fast
The meerkats come out
Searching
Wondering what all the fuss was about
A raw and beautiful place to be
The wild lands roaming free
The wilderness a harsh test for many
everyday
The laws of the land
As Mother Nature makes her way x
