WIL Champion: Monica Scott

Monica Scott, MAS is the President and owner of Logotology , a Promotional Product / Apparel company.??Her background consists of over 15 years in project management and consulting.?She serves on several community boards including the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, Richardson Symphony Orchestra and is currently chair of The Network of Community Ministries Board.?She has earned a B.S. and MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

The WIL Committee has asked Champions throughout our community to discuss topics on Leadership. Below is Monica's discussion on servant leadership:

My journey as a servant leader began with family.?

My parents were exceptional examples of the verse 'to whom much is given, much will be required'.?

Through our church and?Leadership Richardson, I learned about many of the needs of the community.?It is so important to me to give back to the people, places and organizations that need it the most.

?When my sister and I were growing our business (#Logotology), we moved it to Richardson, our home town; a familiar place where we could learn about new causes and community needs. The relationships we continue to build, allow us to give back to our local nonprofits in many ways - products, time, connections and creativity.??This is why one of Logotology’s core values is “Be Generous”.

?I feel so lucky to be a part of a community that is full of like-minded people.?We do what we can to take care of each other.??

The mission of Women in Leadership at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce is to inspire, influence and champion women as they grow into their roles as business leaders in our community.
