Today's article is for the wifepreneur (or wife supporting her entrepreneurial husband) who is struggling with constant overwhelm and needs a simple tool that streamlines her energy while strengthing marriage and business.
Friend,
How many times have you heard?not to keep a score in marriage?
For me, it's been more than I can count.
The idea of being in a healthy marriage in light of having a constant focus on your spouse's mistakes is?virtually impossible.?(This is even more true when you work with your spouse, so there are more chances to miss the mark).
However, I've learned that there are times when keeping score?works to our benefit.
Let me explain.?
Comfort can give way to complacency.
In marriage and business, a mindset that doesn't put action to expectations invites stagnation. If we're not intentionally growing, we are, by default reacting.
Each week in our legacy meetings, we 'keep score' by taking inventory of our marriage and business, and it's an amazing tool.
We've found that as we do this, it keeps us sharp and on our toes.?
We learn lessons as we 'take score' each week.
They are as follows:
I wanted to share this with you today because sometimes it's good to keep score- but only for the above purposes. :)
The weekly (and daily) legacy meetings have been a game-changer for how we build together (even when we were building separate businesses). Having a solid system keeps us focused on what's most important.

TEAM JASPER CASE STUDY
Before Marriedpreneur Operating Systems:?
Cooking with Love?started off headquartered in the kitchen of the Jasper’s Texas home.
Orders were coming in sporadically,?which meant business income was sporadic.?They had a great product (homemade Creole-style cuisine) BUT were the best-kept secret in town.
They were doing small jobs here and there but were ready to uplevel their systems so they could grow the business.
Up until this point, they had never invested in business coaching together. However, they knew they had done all they could do on their own. They wanted to do more and grow but needed to learn the steps and get a clear strategy to do so.
After Marriedpreneur Operating Systems:?:
Once they invested in Marriedpreneur Consulting & Coaching, they started implementing the strategic insight from coaching with us, the business began to blossom within the next 30 days! From corporate contracts with nearby hospitals to out-of-state Holiday orders.
They began bursting at the seams to the point where they had to hire two new team members and now require orders to be placed before their early deadlines to meet the clients’ demands! This was something that they had never done before.
Today they are positioned to open their first restaurant!?Take a listen to the video clip below as they share their initial results from our very first call (and so much has happened since then!) ????
If you and your spouse are not where you want to be on your business journey, let this be an encouragement to you both as you build. Maybe one of you is the entrepreneur, like the Jaspers, and you’re working on getting the business in full swing.
Stay consistent.
Have a clear plan and execute it daily. It’s simple, both it’s complex at the same time. The complex part can often be consistency and knowing what to do daily.
