Wide viewing angle on displays, who would benefit from this feature?

TFT LCD displays now offer wide viewing angle. This means that whether you are sitting to the left or right of the screen, or even standing up, you will be able to see the image clearly. This is great for collaborative work, because more people can easily see what is on the screen at once.

For a TFT LCD display, a wide viewing angle is defined as the angle at which the image on the screen can still be seen clearly. This is usually around 160 degrees. However, some displays have even wider viewing angles, up to 178 degrees.

How does it work?

It works by the way that the liquid crystals in a TFT LCD are aligned. They are aligned horizontally, which means that light can pass through them more easily. This results in a wider viewing angle, and also less ‘ glare’ on the screen.

Medical professionals benefit from wide viewing angle screens, because they can easily see patient information from different angles. This is important in a fast-paced environment where every second counts, like patient monitoring
