They are wicked problems for a reason.
Martin Grant
Facilitator, navigator, sensemaker, and designer helping organisations and sectors adapt.
Different Martin, different generation, different call, but depending on your view, something also critical to the future we now face.
I have a dream that Ministers, CE's and other senior people who control funding and budgets grasp the principles for managing, and designing in, complexity.
We all need to get it if we are going to crack the many wicked problems we now face as families, communities, cities, countries and civilisations.
I found a lovely piece of content from Cynefin on their wiki about 'Design principles for managing complexity'.
I was joking with a client that it wasn't something they should share with their governance group....but maybe we need to start having these types of conversations with those who make the final calls?
How brave are we to take action on this calling? How brave am I?
Enjoy!
