WIC Week Spotlight: Chau Nguyen

Today, we spotlight Chau Nguyen! Chau is an electrical service project engineer and has 4 years of experience in this industry.

What has been your favorite project to work on and why?

Sterling Natural Resources, I got to pipe with PVC-coated conduit, terminated CPs, PLC, and instrumentations. I was also in charge of the lighting control in the admin buildings there and made them work.

What is your favorite hobby outside of work?

Bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions

What is something that would surprise us about you?

I was born and raised in Vietnam for 12 years. I didn’t know English when I came to the U.S. but my grandpa taught me every night so after a year I was able to speak, read and write English.

What advice would you give to young women entering the construction field?

Don’t be afraid, you are capable of doing anything if you have a passion for it.

Be humble and eager to learn, your work ethic will speak for itself.
