WiBD - Zbyte Hackathon Updates:?
The hackathon, is sponsored by zbyte and conducted on there platform , commenced on the 18th of October and is all set to come to an end on the 20th of December, 2023.Throughout the span of 2 months the students got to explore various domains and learn about many tools which helped broaden their knowledge on topics like Data analysis ,Big data, Blockchain, Web3 application development and many more emerging technologies. It has also helped students develop interpersonal skills like leadership skills, presentation skills problem solving skills and overall personality development as well.?
Zbyte's sponsorship and platform support underline the commitment to nurturing talent and pushing the boundaries of technological advancement. The challenges provided to the teams participating in the hackathon have helped them showcase their skills and creativity to come up with innovative solutions and develop some amazing projects during this span.??
As the end date approaches, students are likely in the final stages of their projects giving the finishing touches and getting ready to present the solutions they have developed. As we come to the end of the journey the participants look forward to sharing their achievements with their peers, mentors and judges.
WiBD Global Mentoring Program:?
Mentoring programs have been a fundamental part of the WiBD Community as we believe it is a crucial element for the success of women at all career stages by serving as both mentee and a mentor.?
Women in Big Data is now accepting applications for the February to May 2024 session of our very popular "Getting From Here To There" mentoring program. This program is designed for women with 10+ years of technology experience, who manage technology teams/projects, and seek senior technical management positions (e.g. managing multiple teams, managing managers, and beyond). A facilitated peer mentoring format is used, where participants learn from each other under the direction of two experienced facilitators. Participants will learn techniques for creating and executing a “skills based” action plan for career advancement by working individually, in accountability pairs, in small groups, and with the entire cohort.?
