Celebrating 4 Years of Women in Big Data India!

On October 2nd, Women in Big Data India proudly marked its 4th anniversary. Over the past four years, our community has grown over 6000 members across industry and academia, fostering a supportive and empowering environment for women in the field of data and its allied fields.

Women in Big Data India has made significant strides in empowering women in the fields of data science, artificial intelligence, and related technologies. Here are some key highlights of programs:

1. Career Support: The Shakti program is designed for women looking to start or restart their careers in data.
2. Educational Programs: The Vidya program includes regular events with industry leaders, and the Saraswati program, focuses on curriculum design and development with leading practitioners from both industry and academia.
3. Community Engagement: We host meetups that provide platforms for members to share their voices and gain exposure.

These initiatives collectively contribute to bridging the gender gap in technology while fostering a supportive community.

Empowering Women in Data: The Shakti Program

The Shakti program by Women in Big Data (WiBD) India supports women returning to data-related careers after a break. This 3 month virtual program pairs mentees with experienced mentors through their mentoring journey. Open to WiBD India members with at least three years of tech experience and or on a career break, the program offers valuable skills, certification, and a supportive community to these women as they return to the workforce.
