?WiBD Spring Mentoring Program
At Women in Big Data, we are very aware that collaboration has a profound impact on both individual success and the advancement of our profession. Guided by the principle, "Success is not a solitary pursuit: it's a collaborative journey", our Global Mentoring Initiative invites you to join us as a mentor, for our June to August mentoring session, to cultivate that success.
The commitment is minimal - a total of 4 hours scheduled over 12 weeks at the mutual convenience of both the mentor and the mentee - yet, the impact of your time and knowledge investment can be immeasurable. Applications are now being accepted until May 1. Further information and links to the application form can be found at ?our website..
Thank you for considering this opportunity to give back to someone else either starting or advancing their career journey. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and the future of our field.?
Congratulations to Cohort 6 of the Getting From Here To There Peer Mentoring Program!!
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of another round of our esteemed Getting From Here To There - the peer mentoring initiative designed to propel seasoned technology professionals into senior technical management roles.
This six-session bi-weekly program, tailored for individuals with over 10 years of technology experience managing teams/projects, concluded its latest cohort with remarkable achievements. Under the guidance of Linjun Zhang, my esteemed colleague, and myself, participants delved into a dynamic learning environment, honing skills essential for navigating the intricate landscape of technical leadership.
Throughout the program, participants embraced a facilitated peer mentoring format, fostering collaborative learning and mutual growth. They meticulously crafted a "skills-based" action plan for career advancement, leveraging individual insights, accountability partnerships, small group interactions, and collective wisdom from the entire cohort.
We extend heartfelt congratulations to Evgeniia Barnes, Iryna Grom, Jackie Bhadange, Jomy Jose, Meera Mohan, Neha Aggarwal, Reshma Binu, Shilpa Sasidharan, Surekha Reddy, Suzanne LaLena, Tanya Bugrezova for their exemplary dedication and leadership in guiding themselves and their peers in this cohort towards their professional milestones.
For those who joined us in this transformative journey, you have not only committed to your own career progression but also contributed to the enrichment of your fellow participants' growth.? Your accomplishment is a testament to the enduring value of peer mentoring.
As you reflect on your Getting From Here To There experience, remember that you leave with more than just a roadmap for advancement. You depart with a robust support network, enhanced coaching capabilities crucial for leadership roles, and a lifelong ability to navigate career opportunities.??

Aruna Nadesan, and Usha Ramalingam, WiBD chapter directors for their leadership.
