Global Mentoring Initiative - 2023 Year in Review
What a great year it has been for the mentoring initiative.
In the first half of 2023, 177 people participated in eight mentoring programs as mentors, mentees, or in both roles.
The second half of the 2023 mentoring year started with remarkable success through our Summer Mentoring Program. This new one-to- one mentoring initiative was available to the global community. Fifty-one mentees and forty-seven mentors attended, engaging in discussions about starting or advancing a technology-related career, developing technical, interpersonal, and business strategy skills, and so on.
Popular programs
We also offered our two most popular programs, Emerging Technologists and Mentor in Tech International, as well as a new peer group program, Technology Solopreneur, especially designed for folks who have their own technology business or are looking to start one.
In addition, 218 people participated in Speed Mentoring events thanks to our organizers.
The?WiBD Global Mentoring Initiative?was designed with you, the mentors and mentees, in mind. The initiative is under the leadership of @Deborah Sgro, Mentoring Program Director.
