WiBD Munich 2023 recap

The Munich chapter of Women in Big Data has had a very successful year! We partnered with sponsors and hosted community events almost every month, providing opportunities for networking, fostering allyship, community engagement and providing platforms to use our voices. Our wonderful sponsors included AWS , Databricks , Microsoft , Munich Re , SAP , Flix , Workday , Alexander Thamm and Alasco . One of our favorite highlights was the panel interview at the Databricks DATA+AI World, moderated by Kendy Rannenberg. The panel included Nahia Ordu?a, who represented AWS. Both women have served as chapter leads since its inception. Another significant highlight was when one of our newer volunteers, Meyyar Palaniappan, gave an inspiring keynote at the ITCS Conference. And the cherry on the cake: our community has grown, to over 1,500 fans collectively following us via our LinkedIn profiles . Thank you to our enthusiastic and creative volunteers, Nahia Ordu?a , Kendy Rannenberg , Colleen Arend , Katerina Andreeva, Karolina Stosio and Meyyer Palaniappan , Jomy Jose , Anisa Stefi , Elizaveta Bugaeva and Elena Fedotova , for making all of this possible.
