Wi-Fi Halow is a part of the IEEE 802.11 technical standards and can be easily added to existing Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 networks without any functional degradation. Its unique feature is that a single Access Point can support up to more than 8000 devices per SSID coupled with batteries that can last for years without changing due to its ultra-low power requirements.
Wi-FI HaLow operates below the 1 GHz spectrum thereby offering lower power connectivity and a longer range up to approximately one kilometer. This is best suited for IoT and can provide a more robust connection in environments where concrete walls and other obstructions are a cause for signal disruptions.
Wi-Fi HaLow enables a more comprehensive wireless connectivity experience. It benefits the end-users by supporting multivendor interoperability, updated security as well as allowing setup without any disruptions to the existing network.
