I want to share some really important things regarding social media communication. One of the most common things that I feel is not being not just utilized, but flat out TAKEN SUPER ADVANTAGE OF is direct messaging & replying to comments on your social media posts, and the beyond powerful opportunity those simple, common sense gestures give you in doing business with people, let alone potentially changing your life.

So many people ignore the opportunities that present themselves and it boggles my mind as to why they have this mentality that they somehow think just because they posted something that they think is awesome is going to get 1,000,000 people's attention! NEWS FLASH- it's NOT... and here's the simple, common sense reason WHY!
One of my recent "cases in point" is a real estate agent who I reached out to here in the Hamptons, who I've commented on her photos of houses, I've DM-ed her 3 times and in a week and I have not received one single response....yet I see "her" like most of my posts because "she" follows me! I was initially reaching out to her about me being interested in offering her some sponsorship advertising and Co-branding with the launch of my Hamptons Brand signature candy line, offering sponsorships with the real estate agent's logo on the rear of the package with contact information to that specific real estate agent. Yet to my surprise, not only has she not responded to any direct messages, she is also has not responded to any of the comments that I've made on photos of houses that she is trying to sell, even including messages about the best way to reach out to her so she can show me a house for potential client to buy.
One would think if you're looking to sell a $2 Million dollar house or $16 Million dollar house in the Hamptons and you're advertising and promoting the house on social media, you would utilize social media platforms like Instagram to your advantage to reach people around the entire world. Not only is she doing JUST THAT, which is fantastic and completely changing the game of how to show a house, but she's even using quality videos to do so along with the photos! This is great If I'm somebody who lives in London who is looking to eventually move to New York and be near New York City but still have the countryside vibe, one would think I would want to live in the Hamptons or maybe on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island. But it's hard to set up a meeting, let make the sale, if you or what "appears to be you" doesn't bother to respond to someone who's clearly interested!
