Why Your Whole Self Means Everything

Something Silly

There are more neural networks going from the brain to the ears than from the ears to the brain because our brain does so much in shaping what/how we hear.

Something Serious

It's been said, it's not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

A. Huxley was right when he said: “There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception”

Through the doors of perception,?down the corridors of uncertainty, and into the room of self-doubt opens the window of opportunity. From here your journey begins.

Have you ever considered that maybe your journey isn’t so much about becoming anything??

Maybe it’s about UNBECOMING everything that isn’t really you, so you can be whom you were meant to be in the first place...

Yourself.

So what does "Whole Self" mean?

According to Buffer's Ash Read, “Wholeness means we bring all the elements of who we are to work—our passions and strengths, our side projects and relationships, our partners and kids.”

Sound unrealistic or impossible?

Mike Robbins an expert in this area thinks it is, and provides some excellent tips on how to bring your whole self to work:

  • Be authentic
  • Utilize the power of appreciation
  • Focus on emotional intelligence
  • Embrace a growth mindset
  • Create a championship team

In the end, let people see the real, imperfect, flawed, unique, beautiful, and magical person that you are.?The right company, culture and/or companion will appreciate, accept and acknowledge it.

In a society that profits from your self-doubt,?loving yourself can be a rebellious act.?

Let’s discuss.?

Our whole self is what makes us uniquely us. If we try to remove the flaws from the picture, we would lose our true self. Self love is critical for us to be able to accept our whole self. Thanks for your thoughts Joshua Miller !

Joshua Miller, a couple of quotes comes to mind: "We're not seeking a win at the loss of others, we're seeking a win against the loss of being our lesser self!" #WKWard "When we compete against ourselves and win, others win as well!" #WKWard

Absolutely love this! This is so very true about how our society can be unaccepting when an individual tries to become the best that they can sometimes. However, we must continue on, we must continue to seek out our better selves and I really love the points made in this post, the tips are very wonderful. I'll do my best to follow those tips because I think it's very very good advice. It is a journey and sometimes a battle but if an individual listen to their gut and like you said trust their emotional understanding of things more than just your supposedly "smarts", I think you'll get farther. Thank you for posting this!????????
