Why Your Resume is Failing You?

You have applied to 50, 75, 100+ positions and you are getting no responses or rejection notices. The positions you are applying to are positions you are qualified for and you meet all the qualifications, so you are asking yourself why am I not getting calls for interviews. The answer most likely is that your resume is failing to get through the applicant tracking systems, and not passing the recruiter and hiring manager reviews.

Reasons why your resume is failing you?

  3. Your opening statement is not addressing your qualifications in relation to the position you applying to.
  4. You have not listed any key accomplishments on your resume.

  8. You are "overselling" your skills and experience.
  9. If you are a manager, program manager, or project manager you have no leadership principles listed on your resume.
