Why are your relationships crumbling?

Why are your relationships crumbling?

?? When You Stop Watering the Plant...

We all know what happens when you stop watering a plant—it dies. Sad little leaves droop, flowers wither away, and before you know it, you're left with a pot full of dirt and guilt.

But it doesn’t stop there.

  • When you stop working at your job, you lose it.
  • When you stop taking care of your business, it stops giving you those sweet returns.
  • When you stop working on your marriage, you’re staring at a relationship that's crumbling faster than a cookie at snack time.
  • When you don’t pay attention to your kids, you slowly lose that precious bond.
  • When you stop caring for your house or things, they start rusting and rotting and start looking ugly

The pattern here is pretty clear: Anything you stop giving energy to decays in your life. ??

But isn't it amazing how day in and day out humans think that their job will stay forever, their marriage will build itself and their kids will parent themselves.

Nopes - it is NOT going to happen.

Everything that is in our life right now, is created by us, by our choices, by our attention.

But hey - you are going to quickly jump in and tell me - I am only human ! How can i juggle so many balls in the air perfectly?

I get it - We have limited mind space, time, and energy.

So, what do we do?

How do we add some life to our life and stop things and relationships in our lives from wilting like that sad houseplant in the corner?
Trying not to Die!
My Guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, says, “Stress is having too many things to do and not enough energy to do them.”

Notice he didn’t say we need more time; he said we need more energy. Time is finite, but energy? Now that is something we can cultivate.

We have two choices:

  1. Reduce the things you focus on. In other words, prioritize. (I know… easier said than done.)
  2. Increase your available energy. Imagine doubling your energy levels so you can breeze through your day like a superhero on their morning coffee.

Now we all know that Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change form. So, we are trying to increase the energy available to us. We have energies stuck in many things where it is being wasted. We have energy stuck in some places we have completely forgotten. And we can do some things to increase our available energy. I'm sharing some ways for you here. I have kept it short, and straight from the heart to aid your reading comfort.

How do we create more available energy?

?? Energy Drains (the stuff sucking the life/energy out of you)

  • People-pleasing: "Yes, I'll definitely bake 100 cupcakes for the school bake sale, even though i have a crazy deadline at work."
  • Wearing masks: Pretending to be someone else is exhausting—just ask any actor, and you have to remember all the lies you said.
  • Procrastinating: I really want to help people/travel the world/join a club etc. but we wait for the perfect time and the stars to align themselves and all the ducks to get in a row.
  • Lying to yourself: I am so happy in this marriage. This is a dream job - anyone will want it! Ask yourself - do you want it?
  • Waiting for permission: Your dreams are waiting for you, not your spouses/parents approval.
  • Sticking around in a job or relationship you hate: One day when the time is right!! Sigh!!
  • Not expressing your needs: People aren’t mind readers, you dont ask and then you feel bad that you did not receive!

?? Energy Savers (Your survival kit, things you have forgotten about - maybe)

  • Live your values: Be who you are. It will nourish your core.
  • Say what you mean and mean what you say: Alignment and Integrity save a lot of energy.
  • Cut toxic relationships (both at work and at home): If someone’s always raining on your parade, maybe it’s time to grab an umbrella and walk away.
  • Stop waiting, start doing: Life isn’t a dress rehearsal.
  • Get enough sleep: Seriously, it’s magical.

? Energy Boosters (For that superhero feeling)

  • Pranayama, meditation, and exercise: Think of these as a power-up for your mind and body.
  • Good company: Spend time with people who lift you up, not those who drag you down.
  • Nutritious food: You are what you eat, Feed that body temple well
  • Feed your mind: Read, learn, stay curious always
  • Live your life purpose: Nothing fuels you like a sense of meaning.
  • Be childlike and in wonder: Yes, it’s okay to still be amazed by rainbows.

At the end of the day, life isn't about juggling more things or burning yourself out trying to keep everything alive. It’s about focusing on what truly matters, fueling yourself with the right energy, and letting go of what no longer serves you.

"Where your attention goes, energy flows." So, pour your energy into what makes your soul come alive, and watch as everything around you begin to thrive. ??

I do hope you will take some ideas from this to improve the quality of your life. Let me know which ones resonated the most with you.

Love
