Today, I want to share something close to my heart and a lesson I've learned after spending nearly two decades on the gym floor, coaching clients just like you.
Picture this...
A bustling gym, filled with people sweating it out, each one determined to transform their bodies and improve their health.
For most, the journey begins with the belief that hiring a personal trainer is the golden ticket to success.
But here's the truth I've come to realise...
It's a small part of the equation.
In my years as a personal trainer, I noticed a pattern that emerged early on.
Despite the dedication and the sweat, nearly 90% of my clients struggled to reach their goals.
They showed up faithfully for their twice-weekly sessions, seeking weight loss or muscle gain, hoping that I held the key to their transformation.
When I asked my clients about their biggest struggles during our initial consultations, the resounding answer was nutrition.
And let's face it, that's not typically within a personal trainer's scope.
Sure they can offer tips, but the real work happens outside those gym sessions.
But here's where reality hits hard.
A personal trainer's job, by definition, revolves around exercise.
Yes, we're there to motivate you, to push you to your limits, but let's be honest, that's just a sliver of the puzzle.
What about the other 166 hours in your week?
Who's guiding you through your nutrition choices?
Who's holding you accountable for your lifestyle habits?
Who's helping you navigate the mental barriers that stand between you and your goals?
Certainly not your trainer, their job ends after your 1 hour is up.

If you walk into any gym, you'll see it for yourself.
Trainers and clients going through the motions, week after week, yet the results remain elusive.
Why?
Because real transformation requires more than just a couple of hours of exercise.
An online coach however looks at the bigger picture and coaches you when you're in and out of the gym.
That's why I created our 12-week Black File Program, designed to address the five pillars of transformation which are - exercise, nutrition, mindset, accountability, and lifestyle/habits.

It's a holistic approach that empowers you to become self-aware and to take charge of your health in every aspect of your life.
So, the next time you find yourself questioning your progress, take a moment to reflect.
Are those two hours of coaching truly enough in a sea of 168 hours?
I think you already know the answer.
But?if you're still on the fence, ask yourself this...
How long have you been working with your personal trainer, and have you truly seen the results you desire?
It's ok?to reassess and?seek a different approach if what you're doing isn't getting you where you want to be.
Remember, your journey to a fitter, healthier and more resilient you?is a holistic one?and it begins with acknowledging that change happens both inside and outside the gym.

1 年Well written and spot on! Most trainers start with fitness first instead of nutrition, because it’s quicker to see results and simpler to create a program. But the real magic is creating a prescriptive program that tackles both and can lead to some life changing results
