Why your mindset is everything?

Why your mindset is everything?

If you need to unlock levels of wisdom, intuition, creativity, and capacity that is not realised yet by you, but you know it is there within you, then what beliefs, values, and mindset must change, and what needs to be born, stay or remain firmly established?

How do you manage your mindset in your life?

What tools will YOU be using to unlock this wisdom?

Ayurveda evolved in an ancient culture that understood the human potential to be limitless.

Many of our behaviour patterns that we have today, have been programmed into our being at a young age.

It can work for or against you, depending on the supporting or suppressive environment presented for your mental and intellectual faculties to grow.

Your environment can be optimistic or pessimistic. However, we all have a choice. At any time, we can choose an inner dialogue of self-encouragement and self-motivation, or we can choose one of self-defeat and self-pity. It is a power we all have.

The loudest and most influential voice you hear is your own inner voice, your inner critic. Your mindset and attitude is Your Window to the World. Once you make a commitment you will be able to move mountains and turn your problems into opportunities, it all depends on your mindset.

Saying that mindset is everything, is more than a feel-good quote from a self-help book or the caption on an inspirational poster; it is a fundamental truth. Ayurveda talks about “gunas of the mind” and how important it is to keep the mind in a balance state.

The world’s most successful people realise how important the right mindset is and change their attitude as needed.

Mindset is the term that defines your outlook and approach to life. It includes your inner thoughts and outward expressions. In the end, your mindset determines everything you say and do – and what you say and do determine your success.

Here let me give a quote:

“You sow thoughts and reap actions; you sow actions and reap habits; you sow habits and reap character; you sow character and reap a destiny."

As babies we are keen learners, with around 90% of intellectual , emotional, and mental development happening in the first five years of life. These early years are especially important, as how the intellectual and mental awareness grows is strongly affected by what is happening in a child’s environment and their interactions with the people around them.

So, destiny depends on character, character depends on habits, habits depend on actions and actions depend on thought. It all comes back to thoughts and in the end, thoughts shape one’s future as well as fortune. Thoughts and destiny are inter-connected.

People are attracted towards those with a positive, friendly, and inspiring mindset and that is a universal fact.

Mindset helps to determine how we relate to other people, and people skills are one of the driving factors in being successful. Whether we like it or not, we all are in people’s business all the time, at work or at home, and success is a lot to do with human relationships.

For these reasons and more, our mindset is everything. Having the right mindset is considered to be one of the most important ingredients in finding your success, whatever your definition of success is.

Keith Harrell, the author at Success.com and inspirational speaker, says that “We all have a choice. We can choose an inner dialogue of self-encouragement and self-motivation, or we can choose one of self-defeat and self-pity. It is a power we all have. Each of us encounters hard times, hurt feelings, heartache, and physical and emotional pain. The key is, to realize it is not what happens to you that matters; it is how you choose to respond.”

“It’s your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your life’s story will develop.” – Said Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of his human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances. To choose one’s way” – Said Viktor Frankl

Whether your mindset is positive or negative determines how you respond to every situation in your life, and 99 times out of 100 if you are with a positive attitude, you will respond in a way that is more productive and beneficial than if you are with a negative attitude.

A person with a positive attitude is going to see failures as learning opportunities rather than unbearable losses.

A few observations about people with negative mindset and positive mindset are that:

There is a lot we can do to develop a positive, winning mindset. It is not going to be accidental, and we must consciously work on changing it. It does require effort and Will Power. But is worth that effort because that is first step in unlocking the human potential and our wisdom, intuition, creativity, and capacity that is not realised yet by us.
